Puppy Classes

The new puppy; lovely, cuddly, sweet - until the piddling on the carpet, the chewing of furniture and shoes, the whining in the night and so on!!
What’s that? “Not my pup, I’d never let that happen”?
The reality is that unless this is addressed from the start it can, and probably will, happen with any pup!!
So why not learn how to prevent it by attending our Puppy Classes? We can even help you find the right puppy for you and your family, supply gear reasonably priced so you are prepared for when puppy arrives.
We start with one-on-one sessions, then if you wish you can graduate to our 4 Week Class, which will help you to teach your pup the basics of social and acceptable behaviour.
Our sessions are held in safe and secure surroundings which encourage the pups to explore and extend themselves.

Training Modules
• Fun Excercises
Tricks to suit all dogs, no matter what size or ability. Tricks are great way to build up a relationship between handler and dog, and can give the handler good insight into their dog’s abilities.
- Retrieving newspaper – a fun task for your dog to learn.
- Sendaways to food bowl and return.
- Fun crate games to show your dog that going into his crate is fun and not punishment!!
• Flyball / Flygilty
Racing over low hurdles (sized to suit your dog) touch Flyball box with foot to retrieve a ball and race back. Once the basics of Flyball are learned you can progress to Flygility involving a course which can include a variety of obstacles such as weaving poles, tunnel and changes of direction on the way to collecting the ball. If your dog is not ball focused a toy may be used. Learn the basics and take part in fun competition!
• Focus
This module helps you teach your dog to watch you in all situations. It is suitable for dogs who are easily distracted by other dogs, people or situations in general. This is useful both in domestic conditions as well as competition ie obedience, flygility, agility.
Teach your dog to remain on its mat regardless of distractions.
• Emergency Drop / Loose Lead Walking
Imagine your dog is running off lead and suddenly sees a child race across in front of him. Any dog is likely to chase after a running “target”. If you can drop your dog instantly on the spot, a potentially nasty event could be avoided. This module will help you teach your dog this valuable skill.
A dog walking nicely on a loose lead is a joy to take for a walk. This module will show you how to teach this to your dog.
• Eukanuba - Canine Good Citizen™

The purpose of the Eukanuba Canine Good Citizen™ is to ensure our favourite companion, the dog, can be a respected member of the community because it is trained and conditioned to act with good manners in the home, in public, and in the presence of other dogs.

• Rally-O
For dogs with a basic obedience level that would like to add a little variety to their training!
Rally-O is the next big thing in dog sports!
Rally-O goes beyond the typical obedience class by incorporating up to 50 preset movements through a planned course.
Dog and owner, at their own pace, complete the course of designated stations. Each station has a sign providing instructions describing the skill that is to be performed. Rally O is a fun and challenging way to improve your dog's obedience!
